Version 4.0, also known as the Boss Update, is the third and most current major update to PickCrafter, which was released on 21st February, 2018.

- Six Bosses were added, each with, special items, and Trophies:
- Three new pickaxes have been added: The Tumbleweed Pickaxe, the Solar Pickaxe, and the Lunar Pickaxe.
